Jesus the King of kings
"In the beginning God...." (Gen 1:1) . The Bible starts with God, as does all creation, and all meaningful ministry work. Apart from Him we can do nothing, but with Him all things are possible. Without Christ we will die in our sins, but with Him we will reign forever. Jesus died for all, therefore all have died; and He died for all, that those live might no longer live for themselves but for Him who for their sake died and was raise. My story, my life, my purpose, my joy, my hope, my everything starts in the One who gave it all for me, so that I could have it all in Him. This story, as all stories, finds its beginning in Jesus.
First Encounter with Jesus
In January of 2018, only a few days after my knee surgery, when everything seemed to be falling apart in my life, I decided to quickly grab some food before heading back to my room. Little did I know that I was about to have a conversation that would change the course of my entire life - and eternity for that matter. It all started when two of my classmates at West Point asked to pray for me... Two weeks later I was all in for Jesus. My classmate then baptized me and began to teach me how to follow the only true God.
Meeting Ben
In July of 2019 God told me to go to East Africa. I didn't know anyone there, I didn't know where exactly God wanted to send me, in fact, my spiritual leaders advised me not to go. However, God told me to go and that's all anyone needs to know who's following the Lord. A few months later, after divinely meeting a Kenyan in America who connected me with a local, I was picked up at an airport in Kenya by a few people I had never met - one of them being Ben. A few weeks later, in November of 2019, after hearing a clear message of the Gospel, Ben surrendered his life to Jesus and began pursing God's kingdom over all else. Here is our story:
Explosive Work in East Africa
After my return to the United States in December of 2019, Ben and I began talking on the phone weekly. The Lord then opened the door for me to return to Kenya in March of 2020 to pass on to Ben what I had learned about discipleship. In April of 2020 Ben returned to his village of Birunda, Kenya and a movement gave birth. Here's what the first few months looked like in total baptisms:
By the end of May: 40 baptism
By the end of June: 112 baptisms
By the end of July: 252 baptisms
The movement was expanding and growing rapidly! Since March of 2020 trips to Kenya have happened bi-annually with an increasing number of traveling missionaries each time! By the end of 2021 there has been over 2,000 reported baptisms with 114 active multiplying churches across multiple tribes in Kenya, Uganda, and South Sudan.
Multiplying Leaders in America
As a disciple of Jesus, we are all called to make disciples no matter where the Lord has us. The Faith Comes From Hearing network currently has multiplying disciples with at least one active church in New York, Iowa, Nevada, Colorado, and Florida - with predominately college students. Over the past two years the Lord has provided 26 baptisms for people in the United States as this ministry multiplies more and more leaders. We are eager to see the Holy Spirit continue to expand His kingdom through His faithful servants. Do you want to be involved, learn to make disciples, or work together?
